When @EgyptSaidSo was contacted by a furloughed government employee who received an eviction notice, she knew she had to do something:

So glad we could help Kevin! And that’s right... keep paying it forward.

NO I will not say names bcuz we r unsure if releasing names will get them in trouble. My question is, if they aren’t getting paid, don’t qualify for unemployment, and can’t receive donations, HOW DO THEY SURVIVE? #DumbRules #Heartless #Unfair

Can u tell I was happy to dress up & get out last night? 🤣 Like 10 people asked me what I was doing “out?” Ummmm.... same thing u’r doing out. 😳 #BedrestForWho!? And by the way, #WhatMenWant was so gooood. Bravo to @tarajiphenson @willpowerpacker 📸 by @thephotomanlife

Ok guys, today I am going to start awarding the first furloughed family some assistance. #TheShutdownChallenge and thank you to all those who have donated. #BeTheChange #ThisIsAmerica.
